This specially commissioned, limited edition model depicts a prison van “Black Maria” similar to those in use by the then ‘City of Birmingham Police’ This force existed until 31st March 1974, when it amalgamated with adjacent forces to form the present “West Midlands Police”
The model is strictly limited to 1000 issues and part proceeds of the monies would benefit the Birmingham Children’s Hospice, one of the West Midlands Police Chief Constables’ chosen charities for 1989/90.

Description: A Dark blue body with a black chassis and roof; chrome plated parts; black seat; chrome 12 spoke wheels; type 3 rear doors; red rear lights; yellow lettering.
